Phoenix Tankers' latest order for a VLGC newbuilding is expected to be backed by a charter contract.
The Singapore-based shipowner booked the LPG carrier newbuilding at Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan, as TradeWinds reported online.
It has contracted the Japanese shipbuilder to construct one vessel for delivery at the end 2019. The price of the newbuilding has not been disclosed.
