Philippine shipowner Dennis Uy has teamed up with China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) to explore building a domestic LNG receiving terminal.
Uy’s Phoenix Petroleum signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chinese state-owned company in Manila on Tuesday.
The duo aim to study, plan, and develop an LNG receiving terminal and gas-fired power plant project in the Philippines.
