Pakistan could become one of the world’s top-five buyers of LNG, according to the country’s petroleum minister Shahid Abbasi.
LNG Imports could top 30mt by 2022, up from the current level of 4.5mt, the government official told Reuters.
“ Within five years, I don’t see any reason why we should not be beyond 30mt in annual LNG imports,” Abbasi told the news agency.
