New methane abatement coalition plans to unveil guidelines in a year

Freshly launched coalition the Methane Abatement in Maritime (MAM) Innovation Initiative plans to issue guidelines on measuring methane emissions in about one year.

Speaking at a briefing on the new initiative — announced on Tuesday at the Gastech meeting in Milan and SMM in Hamburg — Lloyd’s Register chief commercial officer Andy McKeran said it is 100% the intention to publish guidelines on how measurement can be done so that it is repeatable, comparable and transparent.
