China’s Jiangnan Shipyard has confirmed an order for up to two LPG carriers from Algerian state-owned energy company Sonatrach.
The newbuilding order is for one firm 13,000-cbm capacity vessel plus one option, yard officials told TradeWinds.
The first ship will be delivered 24 months after the contract signing, which means it will emerge from Jiangnan’s yard at the end of 2018.
The type-C cargo tanks will be fabricated by Jiangan Shipyard.
