Japan’s Marubeni Corp has entered into a partnership agreement with gas carrier specialist Solvang to operate the Hyundai-built, 60,200-cbm ammonia carrier Clipper Neptun (built 2008).

The trading house announced the commencement of the joint operation of the vessel early this week, saying Solvang has extensive knowledge and experience in shipping ammonia.

The Norwegian company is a leading player in ammonia seaborne transportation with a 10% share in the global volume of shipments.
