Kumiai Navigation Pte has ordered an 82,000-cbm VLGC on the back of a charter to the Japanese gas import and wholesale company
The Singapore-based shipowner has placed the contract at Kawasaki Heavy Industries for delivery in the second quarter of 2017.
Kumiai, which is a subsidiary of Japan's Kumiai Senpaku, was set up in Singapore in 1995. Today, it boasts a fleet of 18 ships, including newbuildings, totalling more than 1.5mdwt.
