UK LNG infrastructure company GasFin Development has confirmed an order for a 28,000-cbm LNG regasification barge (FRU) in China.
The breakthrough deal for the Shanghai-based CSSC yard will see it deliver the 95-metre unit at the end of 2019.
It will have four 6L34DF dual-fuel generators, Eworld Ship reported.
With a capacity of up to 335 tons per hour, it is destined for Ghana, where it will used in conjunction with a floating storage unit (FSU) as an import solution.
