A first glimpse of an LNG carrier converted into a floating storage and regasification unit for what looks set to be the world’s first LNG-to-power project has emerged.
Japanese shipowner MOL’s former LNG carrier, the 127,000-cbm Dwiputra (built 1994), is nearing the end of its transformation into an FSRU at Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine with the regasification modules now installed.
