Energy major ExxonMobil has paid out a six-figure day rate to take a dual-fuel diesel-electric LNG carrier on period hire but spot levels continue to slide as more tonnage becomes available.
Brokers and market players said ExxonMobil has fixed the 155,641-cbm Tangguh Jaya (built 2008) for a 12-month period kicking off from March in 2023.
They detailed that the major is set to pay around $115,000 per day for the TFDE ship.
