Excelerate Energy has inked a charter deal with French energy company Engie to supply a floating storage and regasification unit that will become Germany’s fifth FSRU as the country accelerates moves to shift away from Russian gas.
The US-listed floating regasification specialist said it signed a term sheet with Engie on 25 August for the deployment of an FSRU from its fleet for a five-year period.
