Greece’s Evalend Shipping has joined the VLGC newbuilding charge by signing a deal to build up to four LPG-fuelled vessels at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
Kriton Lendoudis-controlled Evalend Shipping is said to have spent close to $320m, or about $80m apiece, on the 91,000-cbm newbuildings.
The order is for three vessels plus an option for an additional ship.
