Cheniere Energy wants to increase LNG carrier transits by almost 50% to its main liquefaction plant with the addition of a third dock.
The company's Sabine Pass LNG subsidiary filed a letter of intent and preliminary study with the US Coast Guard about the addition of a third ship berth at Sabine Pass.
Sabine Pass LNG says the new berth would increase gas carrier vessel calls from approximately 400 annually to 580.
