BP LNG carrier onsite and poised to ship first cargo from GTA FLNG project

One of BP’s own LNG carriers has berthed across the jetty from the floating LNG production unit Gimi as a first cargo is prepared for export from the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project on the border of Mauritania and Senegal.

Data trackers and photos show the 173,644-cbm LNG carrier British Sponsor (built 2019) is moored at the GTA project berth.
