After reviewing relevant documentation, the Oslo-listed company said the yard has not taken sufficient precautions to assure that the 83,000-cbm Chinook is in acceptable condition.
The vessel will be drydocked in Singapore for 10-20 days in order to have its stern tube bearings visually inspected at a cost of approximately $400,000.
Christian Andersen, president of Avance Gas, tells TradeWinds the company does not expect any losses from this delay.
