Ed Buttery, CEO of London-listed Taylor Maritime Investments (TMI), had prepared a list of negative factors for the Norton Rose Fulbright conference on initial public offerings in shipping.
He read out the following: trade wars, a "dodgy" president, groundings of major containerships in the Suez Canal, hurricanes in Haiti, fires in major mining economies, record flooding in the Mississippi River.
