Finnish maritime technology group Wartsila is not ruling out a move for rival Rolls-Royce's marine business.
CEO Jaakko Eskola told Reuters: “We will investigate all possible acquisition cases if they would support our strategy.
"Rolls-Royce Marine is of course very close to our strategy.”
The UK group said in January is was considering selling the loss-making commercial marine business.
Eskola added that Wartsila was well-positioned for future growth and would look for further deals after announcing last month a plan to acquire navigation company Transas for EUR 210m ($256m).
