The firm poached two attorneys fromrival Holman Fenwick Willan in connection with the Lion City debut, BarryStimpson and Simon Sloane, who will serve as partners.
Stimpson specialises in shipping,offshore and international trade while Sloane focuses on arbitration and commercialdispute resolution.
In addition to Singapore, Reed Smith’sAsian network includes branches in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
The new outpost will be led by GautamBhattacharyya, who is in the process of relocating from London, and will alsoinclude Philip Antcliffe, who spent time with the group’s shipping and energyand natural resources practices prior to joining Citigroup in 2011.
