The Malaysian government is to unveil a new blueprint for the development of the domestic shipping industry by the end of 2015.
The Sun daily reported that the Malaysia Shipping Master Plan (MSMP) will then be debated by the cabinet, according to transport minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
He said the ministry, the marine department and the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) had worked closely with industry representatives to draft the MSMP.
