The three largest Japanese shipowning groups were profitable going into the second half of the fiscal year after two were able to turn around losses from the same period a year ago.
NYK Line has returned to the black in the first half of fiscal 2017, free of the writedowns that plagued the shipowner’s results 12 months ago.
Net profit was ¥6.2bn
