An earlier court decision that would see Finland pay dozens of shipping companies more than $100m has been overruled by the Helsinki court of appeal.
The court has dismissed the previous judgement made by Helsinki district court in February 2015, after a massive filing by 52 foreign and Finnish shipowners.
Finnlines, Tallink, Viking Line and ESL Shipping were some of the most high-profile names involved in the case.
