ESL Shipping of Finland has signed financing agreements to build two new LNG-fuelled bulkers in China.
The combined EUR 50m ($53m) facilities from OP Corporate Bank will mature over seven years, with a three-year grace period.
The 25,600-dwt carriers are costing EUR 60m en bloc at CSC Jinling.
“They will be the first of their kind in the world and completed in China during 2018,” the owner said.
