China has retaliated once more after the US’ latest higher import tariffs entered into force on Tuesday night.

The US raised the rate on Chinese goods to 104%, a move followed on Wednesday by an announcement by China’s finance ministry of an 84% tariff on US shipments, up 50 points.

The ministry said the new levies will take effect from 10 April.
