New York-listed Performance Shipping just isn’t selling what Greek shipowner George Economou wants to be buying.
The tanker owner on Wednesday flatly rejected Economou’s 12 October offer to tender for the company at $3 per share and thereby remove the board.
The rejection is the latest twist in a two-month attack by one of the world’s most famous shipowners on a company controlled by the family of Diana Shipping founder Simeon Palios.
