Japan’s Iino Kaiun has partnered up with Bearing, a Silicon Valley start-up company specialising in artificial intelligence (AI) systems, to help it comply with the upcoming Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) decarbonisation regulation.
The CII regulation, which enters into force from January 2023, grades ships from A to E based on their operational fuel efficiency and emissions performance over one year.
