Japanese handysize bulker owner Inui Global Logistics has teamed with compatriot data specialist Sustainable Lab on a digital project to improve its greenhouse gas emissions.
The move is the result of Inui’s search for alternative ways to reduce carbon emissions from its fleet of handysize bulk carriers.
While panamax and capesize bulk carriers have the option to invest in technical upgrades to improve ship fuel efficiency, such investment is more difficult for handysize bulkers.
