A Turkish cargoship is finally being dismantled after lying idle for seven years in France.
The 3,000-dwt Zorturk (built 1983) has been languishing in a Saint-Nazaire drydock since July 2009, when it arrived after getting into difficulty en route from Hull to Lisbon.
Now a company called Sejourne has began cutting it apart in a process that will last into July.
A total of 122 deficiencies were found by port state inspectors when it docked seven years ago.
