Ahandymax bulker controlled by Ugland Marine Services of Norway has landed onthe US Coast Guard’s (USCG) latest port detention report.
Officials say the 52,380-dwt Fermita(built 2001) was working a charter with Hyundai America Shipping Agency when itwas stopped for a fire prevention deficiency in New Orleans last month.
“PSCO observed the quick closing fuelshutoff valve on the diesel oil service tank for the ships service generatorsblocked in the open position with a wood block,” the USCG wrote.
