A strong revenue performance helped Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Kaisha to beat its latest profit forecast by posting a stellar first six months.
The Japanese bulker and ro-ro owner had said in September that it was boosting its net profit forecast for the first half of the year from JPY 700m ($8.68m) to JPY 1.05bn.
On Friday, however, it revealed that it has bagged JPY 1.22bn
