The company is taking on Wagenborg Shipping’s 20,396-dwt Nassauborg(built 2006) until next summer, it said today without divulging the terms ofthe contract.
"This time charter indicates ESL Shipping's ability torapidly respond to changes in customer demand," said Aki Ojanen, CEO of parentcompany Aspo Group.
"We have the possibility to continue the charter afterthe current period, depending on the prevailing demand."
With the addition of the Dutch-flagged, 1A ice-strengthenedvessel, ESL will oversee a fleet of 15 ships of which 12 are fully owned.
