EDF Trading is keeping the 73,583-dwt Thetis (built in 2004)for between 22 and 27 months at a gross daily rate of $8,300 minus a 5% commissionpaid to third parties.
The French charterer has held the vessel since February 2012at a rate of $10,500 daily and the new deal is due to kick in from the end ofthis month.
Panamax owners can currently earn $7,300 per day on the spotmarket, according to the Baltic Exchange.
