A section of the bow of the cruiseship Norwegian Pearl, under construction at Germany’s Meyer-Werft, lies 20 meters under water today in the outer Elbe 35 kilometers northwest of Cuxhaven.

Germany’s Emder Zeitung writes that the 2,700 lane-meter, 22,000-gt ro-ro Tor Dania (built 1978) somehow came between tug Emstug and the barge Emsponton 7, which was carrying parts of the cruise newbuilding, and parted the 200-meter long tow line.
