Over 150 passengers and crew on the cruiseship Clipper Odyssey were forced to abandon the ship at the weekend when it hit a rock in the Aleutian Islands.

The 1989-built, Bahamas-flag cruiseship was on a 12-day cruise of northwest Alaska when it hit the rocks on Saturday. It had 122 “eco-tourists” on board, as well as 31 crew.

All managed to abandon the ship safely and were taken by local fishing vessels and other vessels to Dutch Harbor on Unalaska.
