Bow sistership was "at risk"

The Greek-flag 45,655-dwt Bow Power with a cargo of ethanol was inspected in Philadelphia on February 27 last year by the US Coast Guard which said the levels of oxygen meant the cargo was in an "explosive condition" and ordered the ship to reduce them to acceptable levels.

Ceres Hellenic, the ship' s managers, denied the oxygen levels were dangerous but admitted they had been corrected.
