Tributes have been paid to Sudhir Mulji, former deputy chairman of Great Eastern Shipping, and an acclaimed economist.
Mulji, who died last week of a stroke in a London hospital aged 67, was actively involved in the wider aspects of shipping, including chairing the committee set up by the International Shipping Federation and Bimco to study manpower supply and demand.
Born in 1938 in Mumbai into a Gujerati business family, Mulji was equally at home in both British academia and the steamy worlds of shipping and Indian politics.
