Costa Cruises has penned a €90m order to upgrade the Costa Romantica in a deal with Genoa's San Giorgio del Porto shipyard.
The contract covers a major restyling operation on the 53,000-gt vessel which currently has berths for 1,697 passengers.
The yard where the work is planned belongs to the Genova Industrie Navali Holding Company and will be supported by affiliate T Mariotti shipyard.
