Peter Dohle Schiffahrts has fixed a classic panamax boxship with Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) for the highest rate in a decade.
The 4,178-teu Amalthea (built 2009) has fixed for 18 to 20 months with the Swiss liner operator for just under $17,000 per day.
Other ships in the sector have fixed at even higher rates, albeit for slightly shorter periods.
