Danz & Tietjens is netting a gain of nearly $100m on the sale of a wide-beam container ship bought just two-and-a-half years ago.
The north German owner is selling the 5,527-teu Allegoria (built 2006) to Taipei-listed Wan Hai Lines for $109.5m, according to a stock exchange filing.
It is expected to join the Taiwanese owner in the fourth quarter of the year after finishing a charter with Hapag-Lloyd.
