US logistics provider UWL is seeking to circumvent port congestion and rising freight costs with its own transpacific liner service.
The Cleveland, Ohio-based shipper is teaming up with Swire Shipping in a new multipurpose liner service from Vietnam to the US.
The move is prompted by an “extremely challenging” market, said UWL president Duncan Wright.
