The container ship sector has a new record-breaker in the shape of Evergreen's huge Ever Alot.
The megamax-24 type vessel has been floated out in China as the world's biggest boxship.
Shipping databases list the vessel as 23,888 teu, but state yard group CSSC said the vessel's actual nominal capacity has now broken the 24,000-teu barrier, at 24,004 teu.
