Abu Dhabi-based Safeen Feeders has taken delivery of a feeder container ship it bought from Vega Reederei back in August but it will have to wait significantly longer for a trio of larger ships acquired in July — news of which has only now emerged.
Middle East feeder operator Safeen — part of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group (AD Ports) — revealed on Monday that Vega's 966-teu Vega Virgo (built 2011) had joined its fleet as the Safeen Pearl and was being slotted into the company's UAE Coastal Service (UCO).
