China’s Ruiyang Shipping, also known as StarOcean Marine, has booked up to six feeder containership newbuildings at Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard. The deal brings the firm’s total spending on newbuildings to more than $486m.
StarOcean’s contract with Zhoushan Changhong is the second newbuilding deal it has signed this year. Its first order was agreed with Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and involved up to a dozen of 1,800-teu vessels.
