Ever-expanding MPC Container Ships (MPCC) has made it 65 ships in its fleet with an acquisition from SITC.
The Oslo-listed owner has entered into an agreement to buy the 2,496-teu SITC Makassar (built 2006) for $9.9m, including initial working capital.
It will be renamed AS Patricia, it said.
The vessel will be taken over by the company’s 50/50 joint venture this month.
