MPC Container Ships (MPCC) has added $13m to a loan to refinance and retrofit two vessels.
The Oslo-listed feedership specialist said the cash was drawn down this month under an agreement with Beal Bank.
The money will be used to refinance and fit scrubbers to the 2,556-teu AS Palina and AS Petra (both built 2004).
The company is fitting the cleaning systems to 10 ships in total.
