The fortunes of MPC Container Ships (MPCC) have been turned on their head by the revival of the boxship charter market.
The Oslo-listed company was among the hardest hit boxship owners in the summer when its vessels were exposed to "one of the worst spot markets in history", a situation that forced it to seek additional capital.
Just four months later, what was then a weakness is emerging as a strength due to the resurgent spot market, said chief executive Constantin Baack.
