Matson's China service has pushed profit higher despite ongoing challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Matt Cox-led owner of high-speed, small boxships focused on Hawaii, Alaska and China posted a $70.9m profit for the third quarter, almost double the year-ago result of $36.2m.
Earnings per share came in at $1.63,
