Hapag-Lloyd has confirmed two separate cases of Covid-19 among seafarers on one of its ships and on one belonging to THE Alliance partner HMM.
The German liner company said a crew member on the 8,600-teu Sofia Express (built 2010) had tested positive for Covid-19 while in operations in the port of Tacoma.
The affected crew member was said to have been immediately isolated ashore and the vessel completed cleaning and sanitization.
