Finland’s Langh Ship has ordered three feeder container ship newbuildings for trading in Europe.
The family-owned Finnish company said it has entered a contract with China’s PaxOcean Engineering for the 1,200-teu vessels, which will comply with IMO Tier III requirements for NOx emissions. The first vessel is scheduled to be delivered in August 2024.
The design has been developed by Langh Ship in collaboration with the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute.
