German owner Ernst Russ has increased first-quarter earnings despite sliding container ship charter rates.
Net profit to 31 March was €13.8m ($15m), up from €10.2m in the same period of 2023.
Ship operating costs fell from €23.2m to €16.1m due to the lower number of vessel class renewals versus a year ago.
