Container freight rates have risen to their highest level in 12 weeks as shippers frontload cargo to avoid a potential port strike and tariffs in the US.
A surge in cargo on east-west routes helped lift the Freightos Baltic Index to its highest level since 1 October at $3,738 per 40-foot equivalent unit (feu) on Wednesday.
